Foundational Principles
Vision
To create an inclusive low-stress multimodal transportation network for all ages and abilities in Broward County.
Low Stress Networks
- Emphasize non-motorized travel (walking, biking, personal conveyance devices)
- Provide special, high emphasis, or grade separation crossings of arterials
- Utilize existing residential and low-volume collector roads
- Provide buffered or separated facilities along high-speed/high-volume arterials
- Connects neighborhoods, schools, parks, libraries, employment centers, and other destinations or places of interest
- Can be utilized by low-speed personal conveyance devices (i.e., wheelchairs, e-scooters, e-bikes, skateboards, hoverboards, etc.)
